This is Rick's tried and tested tartare sauce recipe. The perfect condiment to pair with fish and chips, a simply grilled piece of white fish like hake or lemon sole goujons. Watch below to see just how easy tartare sauce is to make in your kitchen at home.
Rick says: "Magnificent. I think it's the slight onion flavour from the chives, the saltiness of the olives and capers and a little hit from the gherkins, plus fragrant parsley."
- 150g homemade mayonnaise or your favourite, good quality brand
- 1tsp capers
- 1tsp green olives
- 1tsp gherkins
- 1tsp parsley
- 1tsp chives
1) Finely chop the capers, olives, gherkins, parsley and chives.
2) Mix everything together in a bowl and serve with your favourite battered or breaded fish (like lemon sole goujons) or grilled white fish.
