This beautiful ceramic design, inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, was the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year design students at Falmouth University, Cornwall to create his new tabletop collection.

Coves from north Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. The clean design and form of bone china complements the subtly changing shades of each cove resulting in a unique and highly collectable range of coastal tableware.

This is a set of 4 pasta bowls and comes gift boxed. The 4 pasta bowls included in this set are Harlyn Bay, Hawker's Cove, Porthilly Cove and Treyarnon Bay.

Here are Rick's memories of these coves:

Haryln Bay - "A vast flatness of wet sand reflecting the sky. Memories of seine net fishing for bass off the beach with my Dad and the locals."

Hawker's Cove - "Who would have thought this pretty little beach with its row of cottages is so close to the Doom Bar, a place of tragic drownings and wrecks?"

Porthilly Cove -"Mussels and oysters, and a view from Padstow of lush pastures coming down to the bay."

Treyarnon Bay - "I learned to swim in the blue pool here.  When I was little we always went there surfing the breakers with plywood boards... happy days."

The pasta bowls have a diameter of 16cm. Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe to 200 degrees.
