Rick Stein Coves of Cornwall - Set of 4 Supper Bowls
This beautiful ceramic design, inspired by the land and seascape of Cornish coves, was the winning entry in a competition Rick Stein launched to final year design students at Falmouth University, Cornwall to create his new tabletop collection.
Coves from north Cornwall have been hand-painted in watercolour showing the depth and colour variations in the sea. The clean design and form of bone china complements the subtly changing shades of each cove resulting in a unique and highly collectable range of coastal tableware.
This is a set of 4 supper bowls and comes gift boxed. The 4 supper bowls included in this set are Treyarnon Bay, St. George's Cove, Trevone Bay and Porthilly Cove.
Here are Rick's memories of these coves:
Treyarnon Bay - "I learned to swim in the blue pool here. When I was little we always went there surfing the breakers with plywood boards... happy days."
St. George's Cove - "The nearest little beach to the town of Padstow with a mystical well in the valley behind."
Trevone Bay - "Scene of a little barbecue of Cornish sardines watched avidly by Chalky, my late and much lamented Jack Russell."
Porthilly Cove - "Mussels and oysters, and a view from Padstow of lush pastures coming down to the bay."
The supper bowls have a diameter of 21cm. Dishwasher, microwave and oven safe to 200 degrees.
