I'm completely obsessed with South African wine, I want more and more people to experience the unbelievable flavours the Cape offers. I've put together a three-bottle taster selection of the best South Africa has to offer. Two wines from renowned producer Adi Badenhorst and a most quaffable take on a Cape-style Bordeaux blend from the Western Cape region.
What the case includes:
SECATEURS, SWARTLAND, CINSAULT, GRENACHE, SYRAH
Adi Badenhorst is my favourite South African producer making some of the best wines in South Africa, he does whites, reds, roses, mezcal and even vermouth. This is a delicious round, juicy red blend. This is the house red in my household.
ALPHABETICAL RED VIN ORDINAIRE, SOUTH AFRCIA 2019
Without doubt one of the best-value South African wines on the market. Bright, pure fruit has a compelling chocolatey, earthy richness to it.
A A BADENHORST PAPEGAAI CINSAULT 2020
A gorgeous wine from Adi Badenhorst bursting with crunchy sour cherries and a hint of smoke. Full of red fruit flavours like red plums and sour cherries, along with it is a rich and intense red. It's a particular match for beef.
