This is a dry white wine with a pale green-gold colour and aromatic SAUVIGNON blanc bouquet. Once known as the 'Fie', the SAUVIGNON grape is the most widely-planted and typical of the varieties grown in Haut- Poitou. Serve young and chilled (8-10 C) as an aperitif, or with fish, shellfish and goats cheese.

Location: 15 km. north of Poitiers, 50 km. south of Saumur

Vineyard area: 510 hectares

Soil: Calcareous-clay
